Screen Printing Ink Used in The Process Of Common Problems

Small bubbles when printing

Reason analysis: the ink is too thick, there is air in the ink, the printing speed is too fast, the amount of ink is too much. Solution: Add diluent to ink, stand ink to air release, reduce printing speed, replace the hardness of the rubber scraper.

Pinhole/trachoma

Reason analysis: the ink is too thin, there are small holes on the screen, there is dust on the surface of the substrate, the scraping pressure is too large, the mesh distance is not appropriate, the screen tension is too low. Solution: add new ink, plug holes, clean the surface of the substrate, reduce the scraping pressure, increase the net distance, check the screen tension.

Post print image defect

Cause analysis: screen is not clean, substrate surface is not clean solution: check the screen, clean the health of the work site and increase the humidity, clean substrate surface.

Lack of clarity after printing

Reason analysis: ink is too thin, back ink knife pressure is too large, round scraper, mesh distance is not appropriate, electrostatic action. Solution: Add new ink, reduce the pressure of the ink knife, replace the appropriate rubber scraper, increase the net distance, increase some methods in addition to static electricity.

Uneven ink

Reason analysis: substrate surface defects, inking uneven, ink transparency is poor or too thin. Solution: to improve the substrate surface or print a layer of transparent oil first; Return ink evenly, printing ink evenly, reduce diluent.

Ink dry screen and block screen

Reason analysis: the ink is too thick, the ink particles are too thick, the room temperature is too high, the production of the screen is poor, the scraping pressure is too large, the size of the net distance, the scraping hardness is not enough. Solution: clean screen and dilute ink, filter ink, increase damping solvent, adjust exposure parameters and plate, adjust the scraping pressure, adjust the net distance, change the hardness of the higher scraping.
